Tessa Derksen

Hello there!
My name is Tessa Derksen and I received the privilege of becoming the new
Bookkeeper here at Cornerstone in June 2025.
I am married to my husband Harley Derksen for 8 years and we have two children who
we look forward to meeting in heaven – one of them being our beautiful daughter
Everlee. We started attending Cornerstone in 2020 and became members not too long
after. We can joyfully say we have found a most blessed home here.
The LORD rescued me from the darkness of my sin and unbelief in 2014 after a friend
in my high school physics class invited me to come church. Only He knew the glorious
plan that would begin to unfold that day and the days yet to come! And according to this
great plan I continue to be refined in my pursuit of making Him my one and only joy.
A fun fact about me is that I have a diploma in science laboratory technology (and yet,
the Lord’s plan has brought me here!)
You can find me spending quality time with my husband and our two cats, Toby and
Sebastian, looking up medical studies on many things, working in the garden, reading,
baking sour dough and enjoying evenings and weekend plans with friends and family.
