Cornerstone Bible Church Ministries
At Cornerstone we are committed to the following:  Bible Based, Gospel Centered, and Discipleship Focused.

We accomplish these goals in a variety of ways.  A brief introduction to these ministries is given below.  If you have any questions about any of them, please contact the church office for more information.

SUNDAY MORNING ACTIVITIES

Prayer Time
All are invited to pray in the boardroom, downstairs.

Nursery
The nursery is located beside the sanctuary and is
available during Sunday School and the Worship Service for children from birth to 2 years.

Sunday School
Sunday School is offered from September to May.  All classes are held downstairs and begin at 9:30 a.m.  See the Cornerstone Bulletin Board or ask an usher, for the locations of our classes.  A time of coffee and fellowship is offered beforehand.

Sunday Morning Service
Our worship service begins at 10:45 am and includes various elements of corporate worship.  On a typical Sunday we participate in singing, prayer, Biblical teaching, and financial giving.  From time to time we have a few special services.  One of which is communion, where we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Summer Schedule
In the summer our schedule and programs change a bit.  Our service runs from 10-11:15 am, during which we also have a special service for kids age 2 - Grade 6 - it’s full of Bible teaching,  games, activities, crafts, snacks and a whole lot more.

Christian Life Development
These classes are an opportunity to dig deeper into God’s word, through in-depth study of biblical books and theological topics.  These classes are held Sunday Evenings  and begin at 6:30 p.m.  Check the Cornerstone News Bulletin board for current topic information.

Youth Ministries
Our youth ministry vision is captured in three simple words:
Pursue, Serve, and Connect.  We Pursue God (through His Word and a lifestyle of worship), we Serve (in Steinbach, Winnipeg, and surrounding communities), and we Connect (with other believers).  These goals are met through all sorts of activities and events.  All are welcome!

Junior High:
We are all about seeking God with our friends through Bible studies, service projects, fun events, movie nights, and times of focused worship. Meets Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

High School:
If you are looking for a place to go deep in your faith, build great friendships, and have some great times, our high school ministry is the place to be! Meets Thursdays at 7:00

Youth Café:
The Orange Loveseat Youth Café is a home away from home for many high school students. It’s a place to get away from  school, relax, do some homework, eat, check your e-mail, or just have a  good time.  We’re open during the school year from 10 AM and 2 PM.

Prayer Meetings
Prayer is an important part of our life as a Christ-centered community.  In addition to Sunday morning, there are also two additional times when we gather to pray:  Wednesday morning at 10 am and  Saturday evening at 7 pm.

Cell Group Ministry
Many people in our church gather in smaller groups for the purpose of growing together in their love and commitment to Jesus Christ.  These groups are diverse in age and group size, and meet at different times, but all emphasize the fellowship, accountability and deep relationships that help make true disciples of Christ.

Women’s Ministries
This ministry promotes fellowship among the ladies of the church, encourages their spiritual growth & discipleship; develops ties with our missionaries; encourages outreach in the community and builds community within our church family.

Hope and Care Network
Our church is committed to love, care and support of those who are a part of our body.  This network    includes many of our ‘hands on’ ministries which   include: looking after the practical needs within the church and outside of it when requested; visitation; providing meals and hampers; as well as providing encouragement and spiritual counsel for those who desire it.

Missions Committee
This committee encourages and supports people within our church who are currently on the mission field, and those who desire to go on missions.  We also put on a missions conference each year with activities for the whole family.

Conversational English
These classes offer a friendly atmosphere where trained teachers cover English basics for those who desire to improve their ability to speak the language.  Classes begin in October.
